Day 4 – Repentance: Returning to God

May 15 to June 5th

Dear Bella Vista Church Family,



Today is Day 4 of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, and we turn our focus to repentance—both personal and corporate. As we reflect, we’re reminded that returning to God isn’t a moment of shame, but a beautiful act of grace and restoration. He is always ready to welcome us with open arms when we come to Him in humility.



Today’s Focus: Repentance – Returning to God



Key Verse:

“Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity.

Prayer:

Lord, we come before You in humility. I repent for the sin in my own life—places where I’ve gone through the motions, grown distracted, or tried to lead in my own strength. I also stand in the gap for Your Church. We confess that we’ve often relied on our plans more than Your Spirit. Forgive us, Lord, for becoming proud, passive, and self-reliant. Today we return to You with all our hearts. Cleanse us, awaken us, and renew us.



“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Today is a call to return. Let this be a moment where we tear down the walls of pride, self-sufficiency, and distraction—and rebuild on the foundation of grace and dependence on Him. He is faithful to forgive, to restore, and to lead us forward when we return with all our hearts.
