Day 20 – Praying for the Next Generation

May 15 to June 5th



Dear Bella Vista Church Family,



Today is Day 20 of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. As we near the end of this journey, our prayers turn to the ones coming after us—our children and the next generation.

The legacy of faith doesn’t end with us. It must be passed on, planted deeply in the hearts of our children and spiritual sons and daughters. Psalm 78 reminds us that we are called to tell the coming generation of the glorious deeds of the Lord, so they may put their trust in God and not forget His works.



Today’s Focus: Praying for the Next Generation

“So the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds but would keep His commands.”

Prayer:

May our children know You, love You, and walk in Your truth with surrendered hearts and complete devotion to You alone, all the days of their lives! Oh Jesus, have mercy on them. Thank You that You can fill the gaps of our parenting mistakes. Thank You that Your grace is sufficient!



Take time today to pray by name for your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and the youth of our church. Ask God to capture their hearts and fill them with a bold and lasting faith. Ask Him to redeem where we've fallen short and to raise up a generation more faithful, more courageous, and more surrendered than the one before.
