Day 17 – Praying for Our Community

May 15 to June 5th

Dear Bella Vista Church Family,



Today is Day 17 of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, and our focus turns outward—to the people and neighborhoods around us. Our community is not just where we live, it’s our mission field.



Jesus looked at the crowds and was moved with compassion. He saw their need and called His followers to pray for laborers—for people willing to love, to speak, to go. That call still stands today. And we are the answer to that prayer.



Today’s Focus: Praying for Our Community

“Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.’”

Prayer:

Send workers into the harvest. Let our church be a lighthouse to our city. Lord, may You lead people to Yourself. Soften the hearts of our lost family members and community, O Lord. We are Your willing vessels—use us to plant and water. Thank You, Lord, that You will grow Your church and kingdom and that You desire for none to perish, but for ALL to come to the saving knowledge of truth!



Today, pray specifically for your neighbors, coworkers, family members, and local leaders. Ask God to soften hearts and open doors. Ask Him to send workers—and be willing to be one. God’s heart beats for our cities, and through prayer, we align with that heartbeat.
