Welcome!

Our ESL program is designed to help members of the Chinese community in Vernon learn and practice English in a friendly, faith-based environment. Whether you’re new to Canada or have been here for a while, our goal is to help you feel confident speaking English and more connected to your community.

Why We Exist

We believe that language is a bridge — not a barrier.
Bella Vista Church began the ESL program to:

• Help newcomers communicate confidently with Canadians in everyday life.

• Make it easier to attend school or college and succeed in learning environments.

• Support those who want to find and thrive in their jobs.

• Encourage friendship, understanding, and connection within our community.

• Create a welcoming place where faith and culture come together.
